Participation of Leading Italian Photographers and Video Artists in the 5th Edition of the International Film and Photo Festival “Five” and Its Biennale in Iran
The opening ceremony of the 5th edition of the International Film and Photo Festival “Five” will take place on October 12 at one of Iran’s most prestigious cultural venues, with the presence of cultural representatives from the embassies of Italy, Japan, and France, as well as prominent Iranian filmmakers. This festival is the only independent event in Iran and the world named after Abbas Kiarostami, and every year it hosts significant artists from around the globe, who participate as jurors, international consultants, photographers, and filmmakers.
This year, the festival is honored to have Mr. Della Rocca, a renowned figure from Italy, as an international consultant. Additionally, more than 30 Italian artists will have a strong presence in the photography and video art sections alongside other international artists.
Mr. Mehdi Shadizadeh, photographer, documentarian, and the festival’s founder and director, along with Ms. Mania Karimianpour, photographer, artist, and artistic director of the International Film and Photo Festival “Five,” have announced special conditions and exceptional plans for this year’s festival and the upcoming biennale. The festival’s future programs will be announced shortly.
These announcements will soon be communicated through international media to inform global photographers. After the biennale, whose date will be announced soon, the selected works will be exhibited in one of Europe’s leading galleries.
