5 Photo Award is an international event for photography and video art with the aim of creating a bridge between countries and cultures. This festival is inspired by a 500-year-old tree in the outskirts of Damavand, located in the village of Aro.
This tree, which has been the subject of Abbas Kia Rostami’s photos for years, about 5 years ago, Mehdi Shadizadeh, a documentary photographer and filmmaker and the founder of the 5 photos award, photographed this tree again and organized the festival to honor this cultural and symbolic symbol that symbolizes heritage. It was created by Henry Abbas Kiarostami.
