Tara Karimaei was born in 1987 in Karaj, Iran. She earned her B.A. in French Translation in 2012 from Azad University, Science and Research Branch, Tehran.

Her professional journey in art began in 2022, working as a translator, supervisor, and gallery assistant. During her job as an assistant, having international connections for holding exhibitions was one of her main tasks. Her passion for art came from a very early age.
As a teenager, she started taking photos with an analogue camera and then she attended several photography courses, which helped her expand her vision, about this passion of hers. It led her to see photography as a profession with a growing focus on digital photography.

Since graduating, she has been experimental in her approach to art. She has also engaged in different workshops to increase her knowledge.
